Education – Academic Background
Dr. Alexios Misegiannidis was born and raised in Athens, Greece. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool (2006) and a Master of Science (MSc) from the University of Aberdeen (2007). He subsequently pursued his medical studies at Charles University in Prague, graduating with a Medical Degree in 2013, which was officially recognised by DOATAP with an “Excellent” grade. He completed his training in Internal Medicine at Metaxa Cancer Hospital and Agia Olga General Hospital, followed by specialist training in Cardiology at the University Cardiology Department of Alexandra General Hospital in Athens, where he completed his specialty training in 2022.

Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Alexios Misegiannidis is certified as an Advanced Life Support (ALS) Provider by the European Resuscitation Council and has advanced training in modern echocardiographic techniques. He regularly participates in scientific conferences and continuing medical education programmes in Cardiology, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of developments in cardiovascular medicine and imaging. He is a member of both the European Society of Cardiology and the Hellenic Society of Cardiology.
Current Position
Since June 2025, Dr. Alexios Misegiannidis has been an Exclusive Consultant Cardiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised services in Clinical Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Cardiovascular Imaging. His clinical approach combines contemporary cardiovascular diagnostics with individualised patient management, aiming to provide comprehensive, evidence-based, and high-quality cardiac care.
