Dr. Stavros Chrysostomakis graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1988. He completed his specialist training in Cardiology at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, in 1996. In 2002, he completed his Doctoral Thesis (PhD) at the University Hospital of Heraklion, further advancing his academic and scientific training in Cardiology.

Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Stavros Chrysostomakis has extensive clinical and scientific experience in Interventional Cardiology, with particular involvement in diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, coronary interventions, cardiac rhythm device implantation, and the management of complex cardiovascular cases. Until 2020, he served as a Director within the Greek National Health System (NHS) at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, where he contributed to the development of interventional cardiology techniques, the training of physicians, and the management of complex cardiovascular cases.
Current Position
Since October 2020, Dr. Stavros Chrysostomakis has been an Exclusive Consultant at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised services in Interventional Cardiology, with particular emphasis on coronary interventions, cardiac device implantation, and the management of complex cardiovascular conditions.
