Education – Academic Background
Dr. Georgios Karvelas was born in Ioannina, Greece, on 14 January 1989, where he also completed his primary and secondary education. From September 2006 to July 2012, he studied at the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), graduating with a “Very Good” grade and acquiring a strong academic foundation and comprehensive clinical training.

He has also completed specialised educational programmes, including Advanced Life Support (ALS) training through the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, and has participated in scientific conferences, educational meetings, and professional events through presentations and other academic activities.
Current Position
Since February 2023, Dr. Georgios Karvelas has been an Exclusive Consultant Cardiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing comprehensive services for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of cardiovascular diseases. His clinical approach focuses on individualised, evidence-based care and the application of contemporary cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic practices.
