Education – Academic Background
Dr. Ioannis Karpouzis graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in 2012 with a grade of 8.7/10. He obtained his specialist qualification in Cardiology in 2023 and, in the same year, successfully completed the European Examination in Core Cardiology. In 2024, he completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Bioinformatics and Biomedical Data Science at NKUA, graduating with a grade of 9.8/10. He has also completed several specialised training programmes and certifications, including Advanced Life Support (ERC), ECMO Training, Advanced FICE, as well as training in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (Cardiac MRI), CT Coronary Angiography, and cardiac pacemaker programming.

Dr. Ioannis Karpouzis is an Exclusive Consultant Cardiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, with particular involvement in Clinical Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging. He participates in the diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with cardiovascular diseases, utilising modern diagnostic and imaging techniques to provide individualised, evidence-based, and high-quality cardiovascular care.
