Education – Academic Background
Dr. Konstantinos Katsarakis graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Crete. Following the completion of his medical studies in 2012, he pursued specialist training in Cardiology at hospitals in Crete and Cyprus, gaining comprehensive clinical experience across the spectrum of modern cardiovascular medicine. He completed his specialist training in Cardiology in 2019, following successful completion of the required examinations, with particular training and experience in cardiovascular imaging and echocardiography.

Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Konstantinos Katsarakis has a particular clinical and scientific interest in cardiovascular imaging and echocardiography. He is certified in Echocardiography by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and has undertaken further training in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine through the Greek National Centre for Emergency Care (EKAB). He is also a certified sports event physician and actively participates in scientific and educational activities in the fields of Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging. Dr. Katsarakis is a member of Greek, Cypriot, and European scientific societies, including the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, the Cyprus Society of Cardiology, and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC).
Current Position
Since September 2019, Dr. Konstantinos Katsarakis has been an Exclusive Consultant Cardiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing comprehensive cardiology services with particular emphasis on cardiovascular imaging, echocardiography, clinical assessment, and the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease.
