Education – Academic Background
Dr. Dea Dilo graduated from the Anavryta Model Lyceum in Marousi, Athens, in 2004 and subsequently entered the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. During her medical studies, she developed a particular interest in the neurophysiology of pain, working as a physician assistant at the Headache Clinic and as a scientific associate at the Neurophysiology Laboratory of AHEPA University Hospital. She graduated from Medical School in 2013 and subsequently worked as a general physician in the tourism sector. In 2014, she commenced her specialist training in Anaesthesiology at Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens, undertaking additional training in obstetric anaesthesia, paediatric anaesthesia, Intensive Care Medicine and Pain Medicine. In 2020, she obtained her specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology. She also completed an MSc in the Organisation and Management of Palliative and Supportive Care for Chronically Ill Patients at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2021. In addition, she has received training in medical acupuncture and pre-hospital emergency medicine (EPI–EKAB).

Her clinical approach is holistic and individualised, with particular emphasis on optimal perioperative care and the safe management of high-risk patients.
Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Dea Dilo’s scientific interests focus particularly on the neurophysiology of pain and the relationship between trauma and surgical intervention. She has participated in educational and postgraduate training programmes in Anaesthesiology, Pain Medicine and Emergency Medicine and continues to pursue ongoing scientific and professional development through conferences and clinical educational activities.
Current Position
Since October 2022, Dr. Dea Dilo has been an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised perioperative medical care to surgical patients across a wide range of specialties. She is actively involved in preoperative assessment, the selection and application of anaesthetic techniques—including general and regional anaesthesia—and intraoperative monitoring of both high- and low-risk patients.
