Education – Academic Background
Dr. Iakovos Charalambous completed his secondary education at Apostles Peter and Paul Lyceum in Limassol, graduating with Distinction (“Excellent”) in 1999. He subsequently gained admission through entrance examinations to the School of Medicine of the University of Crete, where he completed his medical studies and graduated with a Degree in Medicine in 2008. He then completed his clinical internship at Famagusta General Hospital in order to obtain his licence to practise medicine in the Republic of Cyprus. From 2011 to 2016, he undertook his specialist training in Anaesthesiology at the University Hospital of Heraklion, obtaining his specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology following successful completion of the relevant examinations.

Dr. Iakovos Charalambous has extensive clinical experience in Anaesthesiology and Emergency Medicine, having served for several years in the Emergency Department of Famagusta General Hospital. He regularly attends scientific conferences and educational programmes in Anaesthesiology, maintaining continuous professional development and incorporating current scientific advances into his clinical practice.
Current Position
Since January 2017, Dr. Iakovos Charalambous has been an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised anaesthesiology care and contributing to the safe and comprehensive perioperative management of patients.
