Dr. Alexandros Katsaragakis completed his medical studies at the Medical University of Łódź in Poland, graduating in 1991. He subsequently specialised in Anaesthesiology at Evangelismos General Hospital of Athens from 1993 to 1997 and obtained his specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology in 1998. His subsequent professional experience in Intensive Care Units and specialised cardiac surgery centres contributed to his further expertise in Cardiac Anaesthesiology and the perioperative management of high-risk patients.

Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Alexandros Katsaragakis has extensive experience in the application of modern anaesthetic and intensive care practices, with particular emphasis on Cardiac Anaesthesiology and the management of high-risk patients. His longstanding involvement in specialised cardiac surgical cases has provided him with significant experience in advanced haemodynamic monitoring, transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and the comprehensive perioperative management of patients undergoing cardiac surgery. He continuously follows developments within his specialty and participates in scientific and educational activities related to Anaesthesiology, Cardiac Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine.
Current Position
Since January 2017, Dr. Alexandros Katsaragakis has been an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. As part of his clinical responsibilities, he participates in preoperative patient assessment, the administration of general and regional anaesthesia, perioperative monitoring and postoperative care, contributing to the safe delivery of high-quality anaesthesiology services.
