Education – Academic Background
Dr. Marios Symeou graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004. He subsequently trained in Anaesthesiology at Nicosia General Hospital and at the Hellenic Red Cross Hospital in Athens, gaining extensive clinical experience across a broad range of anaesthetic cases and modern anaesthesia techniques.

Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Marios Symeou has extensive professional experience in Anaesthesiology, having served as an Anaesthesiologist at Nicosia General Hospital and Limassol General Hospital. Since 2014, he has practised as a Consultant Anaesthesiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. He also served as Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus from January 2017 to March 2023, contributing to the development, organisation and advancement of the Hospital’s anaesthesiology services.
Current Position
Since February 2014, Dr. Marios Symeou has been an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. With more than 20 years of professional experience, he provides high-quality anaesthetic care across a broad range of surgical procedures, with particular emphasis on patient safety, modern anaesthetic practice and multidisciplinary collaboration.
