Education – Academic Background

Dr. Michail Ganis Vasiloglou graduated from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest in 1995. He subsequently completed his specialist training in General Surgery in Greece, obtaining his specialist qualification in 2006. He further specialised in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) Surgery, obtaining a University Diploma in Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery from Paris XI University in France. He also received advanced training in laparoscopic and oncological surgery at specialised centres across Europe. Throughout his professional career, he has held senior clinical and leadership positions in hospitals in Greece and abroad, including Director of Surgical Departments at Henry Dunant Hospital Center in Athens, Head of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery Department at IASO General, Chief of Surgery at King Abdulaziz Specialist Hospital in Saudi Arabia, and Consultant General Surgeon at Letterkenny University Hospital in Ireland.
