Education – Academic Background
Dr. Theodoros Kapotsis was born and raised in Athens, Greece, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated from the Medical School of the University of Perugia, Italy, in 1996 with distinction. Following the completion of his military service, he served as a rural physician at the Dimitsana Health Centre in 1998. He subsequently undertook training in Internal Medicine, followed by General Surgery at Metaxa Hospital. He completed his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology at Asklepieio Voulas Hospital in 2006.

Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Theodoros Kapotsis has developed extensive clinical and scientific experience in Orthopaedic Surgery, with a particular interest in modern surgical techniques for the management of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries. Throughout his professional career in Greece and Italy, he has participated in scientific and educational activities, while his work in specialised orthopaedic centres has contributed to his experience in the application and development of contemporary surgical techniques. In 2016, he co-founded the Minimally Invasive Orthopaedic Clinic in Pavia, Italy, where he served as Scientific Director until 2019, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative and minimally invasive therapeutic approaches in Orthopaedic Surgery.
Current Position
Since January 2020, Dr. Theodoros Kapotsis has been working as an Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised services in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology. Through his clinical practice, he contributes to the diagnosis and surgical management of a broad range of orthopaedic conditions and injuries, as well as to the continuous development of the hospital’s orthopaedic services.
