Dr. Panayiota Kosmidou holds a PhD from the School of Medicine of the University of Patras, as well as a Master’s Degree in Surgical Anatomy.
She has completed numerous educational programmes and specialised training courses in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT) and Head and Neck Surgery, reflecting her commitment to continuous scientific, surgical, and clinical development.

Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Panayiota Kosmidou is the Scientific Director of the “AI-BASE” research programme, which focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in tracheostomy.
She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Research and Education Institute of Biomedical Sciences journal and has extensive academic and scientific writing experience, including dissertations and publications in scientific journals.
Current Position
Since October 2025, Dr. Panayiota Kosmidou has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, contributing to the development and continuous enhancement of the Hospital’s ENT services.
