Education – Academic Background
Dr. Ilias Moustakis graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2017. As part of his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), he completed nine months of training in General Surgery at Sismanogleio General Hospital of Attica, followed by four years of specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology at Asklepieio Voulas General Hospital, where he gained significant experience in the management of emergency cases and trauma. His training also included six months in Plastic Surgery at “G. Gennimatas” General Hospital of Athens and six months in Neurosurgery at Asklepieio Voulas General Hospital.
In June 2025, he completed, with a grade of “Excellent”, a postgraduate degree focusing on “Diseases of the Nose, Skull Base and Facial Region”, jointly offered by the University of Patras and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
Areas of Interest
Dr. Ilias Moustakis specialises in Otorhinolaryngology (ENT), with a particular interest in diseases of the nose, skull base and facial region, an area in which he has also completed postgraduate studies. He also has clinical experience in the management of ENT emergencies and trauma, supported by training in related fields including General Surgery, Plastic Surgery and Neurosurgery.
Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Ilias Moustakis has contributed to the preparation of scientific presentations presented at the 21st, 22nd and 23rd Panhellenic Congresses of Otorhinolaryngology, as well as at the 32nd Panhellenic Congress of Surgery. His scientific background is further enhanced by his postgraduate studies in diseases of the nose, skull base and facial region, which he completed with a grade of “Excellent”.
Current Position
Since October 2026, Dr. Ilias Moustakis has been an Exclusive Associate Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, practising as an ENT Surgeon (Otorhinolaryngologist) and providing specialised care for patients with ear, nose and throat conditions, as well as the management of ENT emergencies.
