Education – Academic Background

Dr. Eleftheria Kosyfa graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2014. She subsequently completed her specialist training in Neurology at Evangelismos Hospital in Athens and obtained her specialist qualification in Neurology in 2023. She also holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Clinical Neurophysiology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. In addition, she has received specialised training in the management of neurological emergencies through a dedicated educational programme of the University of Athens.

Dr. Eleftheria Kosyfa has an active scientific interest in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology, with involvement in research projects, scientific conferences, and educational activities. During her specialist training at the Department of Neurology of Evangelismos Hospital, she gained extensive clinical experience in the management of hospitalised patients, neurological emergencies, and Clinical Neurophysiology. She participated in a research project focusing on polyneuropathy in Intensive Care Unit patients, involving the assessment of neurophysiological examinations and the collection of clinical data. She also participated in a research programme of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens investigating functional abnormalities of peripheral motor nerve fibres in patients receiving oxaliplatin as anticancer treatment. She maintains continuous professional and scientific development through participation in conferences and educational programmes in Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.

Since September 2025, Dr. Eleftheria Kosyfa has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Neurologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised neurological assessment, diagnosis, monitoring, and management of a wide range of neurological conditions.
