Education – Academic Background

Dr. Loukas Lymperopoulos graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2018, having begun his medical studies at the University of Ioannina School of Medicine. During his undergraduate training, he completed a clinical placement at the Department of Neurology of Aeginition Hospital, where he developed an early interest in disorders of the nervous system. In 2018, he participated in the European Headache Federation – School of Advanced Studies in Rome, further expanding his knowledge of contemporary developments in headache medicine. He completed his specialist training in Neurology at Aeginition Hospital in 2025. As part of his specialist training, he also completed five months of training in Internal Medicine at Korgialenio-Benakio Hospital of the Hellenic Red Cross.

Dr. Loukas Lymperopoulos practises across the full spectrum of neurological disorders, with a particular interest in headache disorders, neuroimmunological diseases, myasthenia gravis, stroke, and disorders of the central and peripheral nervous systems. He has a particular interest in the diagnosis and management of complex neurological conditions, applying modern, evidence-based diagnostic and therapeutic approaches tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
