Dr. Dimitrios Anastasiou completed his specialist training in Paediatrics in 2006 at one of the largest children’s hospitals in Greece. During his training, he gained extensive clinical experience across specialised departments in Paediatrics, Neonatology, and Paediatric Intensive Care, developing a strong clinical background in the care of newborns, children, and adolescents.
Areas of Interest
Dr. Dimitrios Anastasiou specialises in Paediatrics, with a particular interest in Paediatric Endocrinology, Neonatology, Paediatric Intensive Care, and Primary Paediatric Care. He has significant experience in the management of paediatric emergencies, as well as in the care of high-risk newborns and children, providing comprehensive and individualised medical care tailored to the needs of each patient.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Dimitrios Anastasiou’s extensive clinical experience in specialised paediatric departments and intensive care units has contributed significantly to his continuous scientific and professional development. Through his collaboration with specialised Paediatric Endocrinology departments and paediatric hospitals, he remains closely engaged with developments in Paediatrics, Neonatology, and Paediatric Intensive Care. He incorporates contemporary clinical practices into patient care, with the aim of achieving the best possible outcomes for paediatric patients.
Current Position
Since May 2021, Dr. Dimitrios Anastasiou has been working as an Exclusive In-House Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing comprehensive primary and hospital-based paediatric care to newborns, children, and adolescents. He is actively involved in the management of paediatric emergencies and contributes to the Hospital’s clinical and scientific activities, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality, individualised care to paediatric patients.
