Education – Academic Background
Dr. Konstantinos Vasilas holds a PhD and an MSc, with a particular interest in clinical research and innovation in healthcare. He began his specialist training in Vascular Surgery at ATTIKON University General Hospital in Athens, where he developed a strong scientific and clinical foundation. He subsequently continued his professional and academic career in Sweden, where he worked and trained for eleven years, gaining extensive experience in modern vascular surgery and advanced endovascular techniques.

Scientific and Research Work
Dr. Konstantinos Vasilas has participated in specialised international training programmes and scientific educational activities in Sweden, Belgium and the Netherlands, with particular emphasis on advanced techniques for the management of aortic and aortic arch diseases. He has also participated in clinical research programmes and studies focusing on the management of surgical infections and the advancement of vascular surgical techniques. His continuous involvement in research and scientific education supports the implementation of innovative therapeutic approaches and contributes to improving the quality of patient care.
Current Position
Since October 2021, Dr. Konstantinos Vasilas has been an Exclusive Associate Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. He also actively participates in the Scientific Council of the Hospital, where he is responsible for the supervision and coordination of research activities, contributing to the advancement of scientific research and clinical excellence within the institution.
