Education – Academic Background
Dr. Kyriakos Panagidis completed his undergraduate studies in Edmonton, Canada, before continuing his education at the University of Alberta, where he studied Biochemistry with Honours and subsequently Medicine. He also completed his specialist training in General Surgery at the University of Alberta, gaining extensive experience in both adult and paediatric surgery, and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.

Dr. Kyriakos Panagidis specialises in Paediatric Surgery, with a particular focus on neonatal and complex paediatric surgery. His clinical interests include the management of highly complex paediatric surgical conditions, neonatal surgery, and paediatric surgical oncology, with an emphasis on providing specialised and individualised surgical care tailored to the needs of each child.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Kyriakos Panagidis has participated in scientific presentations and clinical programmes at major paediatric and oncology centres internationally, contributing to the advancement of contemporary surgical techniques in Paediatric Surgery. His experience at leading international hospitals has further strengthened his clinical approach to the management of complex paediatric surgical cases and the implementation of evidence-based surgical protocols.
Current Position
Since November 2022, Dr. Kyriakos Panagidis has been working as a Consultant at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where he leads the Paediatric Surgery team and provides specialised surgical care to newborns, children, and adolescents with complex and high-acuity surgical conditions.
