Education – Academic Background
Dr. Eirini Amyrotou graduated from the University of Ioannina School of Medicine in 2017. She began her clinical training at the Department of Surgery of Limassol General Hospital and subsequently specialised in Paediatric Surgery, completing her training at “Agia Sofia” Children’s Hospital in Athens and Makarios Hospital in Nicosia. She completed her specialist training in Paediatric Surgery in 2026.
She holds internationally recognised certifications in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) and has also qualified as an APLS Instructor (GIC – APLS Instructor).
Areas of Interest
Dr. Eirini Amyrotou practises across the full spectrum of Paediatric Surgery, with a particular interest in neonatal and paediatric surgery, the management of paediatric surgical emergencies, and modern minimally invasive surgical techniques. She also has a strong interest in first aid education and the emergency management of paediatric patients.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Eirini Amyrotou actively participates in educational programmes, conferences, and specialised Paediatric Surgery seminars in Cyprus and abroad. She has attended specialised training programmes in paediatric colorectal surgery and modern minimally invasive surgical techniques and regularly participates in Panhellenic Paediatric Surgery Conferences and postgraduate educational events in Paediatrics.
She is also actively involved in the volunteer community, serving as a First Aid Examiner and Volunteer Doctor with St. John Association Cyprus. In addition, she served as a Volunteer Doctor at the 2025 European Throwing Cup.
Current Position
Since July 2026, Dr. Eirini Amyrotou has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Paediatric Surgeon. With comprehensive, up-to-date training in Paediatric Surgery and clinical experience gained at leading hospitals in Greece and Cyprus, she provides specialised surgical care to newborns, children, and adolescents, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, individualised care, and the application of modern surgical techniques.
