Education – Academic Background
Dr. Flora Kyriakou graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Patras in 2005. She subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at the First Department of Medical Oncology of “Agios Savvas” Anticancer Hospital in Athens (2005–2008), followed by further training at the Department of Internal Medicine of Limassol General Hospital (2008–2010). She then continued her specialist training at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Centre (2010–2013). In parallel, she completed postgraduate studies in Cancer Therapeutics at Queen Mary University of London. In 2014, she obtained her specialist qualification in Medical Oncology in Greece, as well as certification from the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).

Dr. Flora Kyriakou specialises in Medical Oncology, with particular clinical interests in:
- Breast cancer
- Lung cancer
- Hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndromes
- Modern targeted and systemic cancer therapies
Her clinical approach focuses on the individualised management of oncology patients, incorporating contemporary evidence-based treatments according to each patient’s diagnosis and individual clinical needs.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Flora Kyriakou is actively involved in research programmes, clinical trials, and scientific activities in the field of Oncology. She has published scientific work in international peer-reviewed journals and has presented research at international conferences. She also participates in clinical studies and public awareness initiatives focusing on cancer prevention, early detection, and treatment, contributing to the advancement of oncology care and patient education.
Current Position
Since September 2021, Dr. Flora Kyriakou has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised oncology care with a focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing follow-up of patients with cancer.
