Education – Academic Background
Dr. Ziad Elmejrab graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) in March 2012. He completed his specialist training in Anaesthesiology at Elpis General Hospital of Athens from August 2013 to August 2018 and obtained his specialist qualification in Anaesthesiology in November 2018. He attended the MSc programme in “Organisation and Management of Palliative and Supportive Care for Chronically Ill Patients” at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens from 2019 to 2021, with the degree title pending. His postgraduate training also includes the Prehospital Emergency Medicine Programme (EPI–EKAB/PIS), for which he obtained certification of competence in June 2016. In addition, he completed training in Medical Acupuncture at the Educational Institute of Acupuncture of Northern Greece between 2015 and 2017.

Dr. Ziad Elmejrab practises in the field of Anaesthesiology, with particular interest in:

- Prehospital Emergency Medicine
- Medical acupuncture
- Clinical support of critically ill patients
His additional training in Medical Acupuncture complements his clinical experience in pain management and supportive patient care.
Professional and Scientific Experience
From 2012 to 2013, Dr. Elmejrab worked as a physician at the Injured Persons Office of the Libyan Embassy. Between 2013 and 2019, he worked at Elpis General Hospital of Athens, initially as a resident and subsequently as a physician following completion of his specialist training. His clinical activity included experience in the Department of Anaesthesiology, Intensive Care Unit and Pain Clinic. From 2019 to 2022, he undertook further training in Intensive Care Medicine at the 251 Hellenic Air Force General Hospital. He has also completed recognised training programmes, including ALS–ERC and BLS/AED, and continues to participate in continuing medical education activities.
Current Position
Since 2022, Dr. Ziad Elmejrab has been working as an Anaesthesiologist at Polyclinic, where his clinical practice focuses on anaesthesiology, perioperative medicine and patient support, with particular emphasis on patient safety and the quality of care provided.
