Dr. Bettina Schieder was born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, where she completed her secondary education. She graduated with honors from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Siena, Italy. She then worked as a pediatric resident at the General Hospital of Corinth. Following this, she worked for two years as a volunteer doctor at the Athens Polyclinic of Doctors Without Borders and simultaneously participated in school vaccination programs under the auspices of the Athens Regional Health Directorate.
She completed her pediatric specialty at the University Pediatric Hospital “Agia Sofia” in 2004 and subsequently worked in the private sector, running her own pediatric practice until 2019. At the same time, she worked at the EOPYY Polyclinic in Corinth from 2011 to 2013 and as a visiting pediatrician at a private school in Corinth until 2019. From 2012 to 2019, she was the responsible scientific partner for vaccination initiatives, preschool medical checks for children, and maternal health and accident prevention education at the organization “Children’s Ark Hellas.”
She was a founding member and head of the pediatric sector of the Corinth Social Clinic from 2013 to 2019. Since 2019, she has been working in the Pediatric Department of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. She is married and a mother of three children. She speaks German, Greek, English, Italian, and French.
