Triage

Triage at the Mediterranean Hospital is a fundamental and crucial component of the Emergency Department.

Having evolved over time, its goal is no longer solely to address the most critically ill patients, but also to manage the flow of all patients within the Emergency Department. This is achieved by assessing factors such as the severity of each patient’s condition and the efficient use of available resources.

In the triage area, patients are attended to by doctors and specially trained nurses, who assess their condition and direct them based on the severity of their situation. The primary aim is to ensure prompt and comprehensive care for each case.
