With two modern and fully equipped hemodynamic laboratories, one of which also functions as a hybrid operating room, diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, coronary angioplasties with stents, and a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques (rotablation, shockwave, IVUS, iFR/FFR, etc.) are carried out daily by the interventional team. This includes coronary angioplasties for chronic total occlusions (CTOs). Additionally, all catheter-based interventions for structural heart diseases are performed with specialized and certified medical personnel, including TEER for mitral and tricuspid valves, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO), closure of patent foramen ovale or atrial septal defects (PFO/ASD), septal alcohol ablation for hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy, and pediatric interventional procedures such as percutaneous closure of a patent ductus arteriosus. The interventional laboratory operates on a 24-hour basis with an on-call interventional cardiologist, providing primary coronary angioplasty for patients who arrive through the Emergency Department with acute myocardial infarction.
