Botox (Dysport) injections are used to relax stiff muscles in patients with neurological issues, such as children with cerebral palsy. Botox (Dysport) is injected precisely into the muscle using ultrasound guidance. Although this procedure can be performed while the child is awake, we prefer administering Botox (Dysport) injections under anesthesia. This approach allows for the examination of the child under anesthesia and precise placement of the injection. It is believed that this method is gentler for the child.
