Dr. Theodoros Kapotsis was born and raised in Athens, where he completed his primary and secondary education. He graduated with honors from the University of Medicine in Perugia, Italy, in 1996.
After fulfilling his military obligations, he served as a rural doctor at the Health Center of Dimitiana in 1998. He began his specialty training in pathology in 1999, but soon switched to general surgery, completing his training at the Metaxa Hospital. In 2000, he was appointed to Asclepius Hospital in Voula, where he finished his specialty in orthopedics in 2006. In 2007, he worked as an assistant doctor at the “Sotiria” Hospital.
From 2008 to 2009, he worked at private hospitals in Athens as an orthopedic surgeon while also holding a position at the Piraeus IKA. At the end of 2009, he decided to work abroad, specifically in Italy, for further training.
From 2009 to 2012, he worked as a staff member at the public hospital of Bergamo, Bolognini Seriate, and from 2012 to 2013, at the private Dolomiti Sportclinic in Bolzano, where he specialized in sports injuries.
In 2013, he was appointed to the Humanitas Hospital in Bergamo, where he stayed until 2016. In the same year, he co-founded the “Minimally Invasive Orthopedics Clinic” in Pavia, Italy, where he remained responsible until 2019, when he returned to Greece. He then collaborated with the Central Athens Clinic and was invited to organize the orthopedic department at the Santorini Hospital.
In January 2020, he began his collaboration with Mediterranean Hospital as the Director of the Orthopedic Department, where he continues to work today.
After performing numerous surgeries abroad and being trained at specialized centers, he focused on trauma, arthroscopic surgeries, joint arthroplasty, and their complications.
