Dr. Stavrina Lianou was born in Athens and grew up in Kalamata, Messinia. She graduated from the Medical School of Stara Zagora in Bulgaria in 2002. She began her career as a rural doctor at the General Hospital of Kalamata (G.N.K.), at the Health Centers of Valira and Meligala, where she served for one year (2006-2007). In 2007, she started her specialization in General Medicine at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens. During her specialization, she also served at various hospitals including the Pediatric Hospital “Aglaia Kyriakou,” the “Syggros” Hospital, the “Elena Venizelou” General Hospital (maternity hospital), and the Psychiatric Department at the Aiginition Hospital in Athens. She completed her specialty at the Health Center of Loutraki, Corinth, where she worked for one year.
In 2015, she was appointed as a Senior Physician at the Health Unit “IKA” in Corinth, where she remained for three years. In 2018, Dr. Lianou began working as an Emergency Medicine Doctor at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. In 2019, she joined the General Health System (GESY) as a Personal Doctor at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where she continues to work to this day.
