Dr. Maria Giaka is a specialist in Internal Medicine at the Oncology Department of the Mediterranean Hospital. She graduated from the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2006. She served in rural health services at the Health Center of Messopotamia in Kastoria from 2006 to 2008. Afterward, she trained in Internal Medicine at the University Hospital of Heraklion, Crete, from 2008 to 2013, where she received her specialization in Internal Medicine. She worked as a private practitioner in Internal Medicine from 2014 for three years and then as an Assistant Specialist in Internal Medicine at the General Hospital of Kozani until 2022. Since then, she has been working at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. She holds a postgraduate degree in the Management of Aging and Chronic Diseases from the Hellenic Open University. She has participated in the publication of research papers and in attending conferences, with particular interest in the management of infections, geriatrics, and metabolic diseases.
