Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Konstantinos Droutsas was born in Amarousio, Attica, and grew up in Akrata, Achaia, where he completed his primary and secondary education with excellent grades in 1998. After taking the Panhellenic exams, he was admitted to the Department of Physiotherapy at the Thessaloniki Technological Educational Institute, where he graduated with a general grade of “Very Good” in 2003. Following that, after passing entrance exams, he was admitted to the Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, from where he graduated in 2009 with a general grade of “Good.”
After completing his military service, he served as a rural doctor from 2010-2011 at the General Hospital of Kalavryta and the Regional Health Center of Psofidas, Achaia. He began his orthopedic specialty in 2011, completing his General Surgery training at the General Regional Hospital of Patras ‘Agios Andreas,’ his training in Pediatric Orthopedics at the General Children’s Hospital of Athens ‘P. and A. Kyriakou,’ and his full orthopedic training at the General Hospital of Attica ‘Sismanogleio-Amalia Fleming,’ where he received his orthopedic surgeon title in 2018.
From 2018-2020, he practiced orthopedics at the General Hospital of Attica ‘Sismanogleio-Amalia Fleming’ and then moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked at University Hospitals Birmingham, NHS Foundation Trust-UK (at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, one of the largest Trauma Centers in England, as well as at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital and Good Hope Hospital).
Since September 2021, he has been working at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, participating in all activities of the Orthopedic Department and performing a wide range of surgeries for orthopedic trauma management and chronic disease rehabilitation. Additionally, he is a Ph.D. candidate at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
