Dr. Flora Kyriacou graduated from the Medical School of the University of Patras in 2005. She trained in Internal Medicine at the A’ Oncology Department of the “Agios Savvas” Cancer Hospital from 2005 to 2008 and then at the Pathology Department of the General Hospital of Limassol from 2008 to 2010. She continued her training at the Oncology Center of the Bank of Cyprus from 2010 to 2013. In parallel, she completed her studies in the Cancer Therapeutics postgraduate program at Queen Mary University of London. In 2014, following examinations, she was awarded the title of Medical Oncologist in Greece and by the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO).
From 2013 to 2020, she worked as a Medical Oncologist at the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center, participating in specialized breast and lung cancer units. She then worked as a Medical Oncologist at the General Hospital of Limassol for one year and at the German Oncology Center for six months. Since September 2021, she has been working in the Oncology Department at Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus.
Her research works have been published in scientific journals and presented at international conferences. She has participated in clinical trials and in a series of public presentations on cancer awareness. She is a member of scientific societies such as ESMO, ASCO, and EOPC.
Her particular interests are breast cancer, lung cancer, and hereditary syndromes that predispose to breast and ovarian cancer.
