Education – Academic Background
Dr. Georgia Georgiou graduated Cum Laude from the European University Cyprus School of Medicine in 2026. She began her medical studies at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic (2018–2022), before continuing her education in Cyprus, where she completed her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. During her studies, she gained clinical experience through clinical placements and summer internships at hospitals in Cyprus, with a particular focus on Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine.
Areas of Interest
Dr. Georgia Georgiou has a particular interest in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Oncology, with an emphasis on comprehensive patient care and multidisciplinary collaboration. She has experience in medical history taking, clinical examination, differential diagnosis, interpretation of basic laboratory investigations, venepuncture, and basic surgical suturing, while remaining committed to the continuous development of her clinical skills.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Georgia Georgiou participated in summer clinical training programmes at the German Oncology Center in Limassol and Ygia Polyclinic Private Hospital, gaining experience in the management of oncology and hospitalised patients, clinical assessment, and the day-to-day operations of hospital departments.
In addition, she attended a specialised training seminar in Aesthetic Medicine at IconBioMed in Athens, focusing on modern minimally invasive aesthetic treatments and the principles of their safe application.
Current Position
Since July 2026, Dr. Georgia Georgiou has been working as a physician in the Accident & Emergency Department (A&E) at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. Having completed her clinical training with excellent academic performance and gained experience across diverse hospital settings, she provides comprehensive and responsible patient care, with an emphasis on evidence-based medical practice, effective communication, and continuous professional development.
