Dr. Efthymios Choidis is a specialized Pediatric Surgeon with over 15 years of experience in the medical field, having passed through significant educational and professional milestones. He began his studies at the University of Debrecen Medical School in Hungary, graduating in 2004 with honors (Cum Laude). His thesis focused on the pathogenesis and clinical characteristics of malignant hyperthermia. He then specialized in Pediatric Surgery in Greece and the United Kingdom, gaining expertise in pediatric surgery and laparoscopic techniques.
Since 2015, Dr. Choidis has worked as a Pediatric Surgeon in various renowned hospitals in both Greece and abroad, gaining significant experience in pediatric surgical interventions and laparoscopic surgery. He has served in hospitals in the United Kingdom, such as the University Hospital of Wales and the University Hospital Southampton, where he held the position of Senior Fellow in Pediatric Surgery. Additionally, he served as Rota Manager in the pediatric surgery department at Cardiff.
Dr. Choidis’s career also includes high-responsibility roles in Greece, such as Director of the Pediatric Surgery Endoscopy Department at Euroclinic of Athens and Pediatric Surgeon at the Private REA Maternity Hospital. Since 2024, he has been working as a Pediatric Surgeon in Cyprus, collaborating with the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, while also maintaining a private practice in Athens and Ilion.
Dr. Choidis possesses extensive experience and training in the field of pediatric surgery and has held various roles in scientific organizations and conferences. He is certified by the General Medical Council of the United Kingdom and the Cyprus Medical Council and has completed numerous continuing medical education seminars and certifications. Furthermore, he has participated in many oral presentations and published important articles in international scientific journals.
