Education – Academic Background
Dr. Ilias Dodos graduated from the School of Medicine of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained his specialist qualification in Vascular Surgery in 2018. He completed his specialist training in major public hospitals in Greece, primarily at Konstantopouleio General Hospital of Nea Ionia, Athens, where he gained extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of complex vascular diseases using both open surgical and endovascular techniques. He holds a Master’s Degree in Endovascular Techniques from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a PhD from the same University. His doctoral thesis focused on the correlation between glycated haemoglobin (HbA1c) and the ultrasonographic and histological characteristics of carotid plaques in diabetic and non-diabetic patients. In 2022, he also obtained a University Diploma in Vascular Ultrasound from Sorbonne University in Paris.

From 2019 to 2025, Dr. Ilias Dodos worked as a Consultant Vascular Surgeon at a public hospital in France, covering the full spectrum of Vascular Surgery and gaining extensive experience in modern endovascular techniques. He is a member of the Hellenic Society for Vascular Surgery and actively participates in scientific conferences and publications in international medical journals, maintaining an ongoing presence in the scientific and research community.
Current Position
Since January 2026, Dr. Ilias Dodos has been an Exclusive Internal Associate Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where he practices across the full spectrum of modern Vascular Surgery, providing specialised vascular care using contemporary open and endovascular techniques.
