Education – Academic Background
Dr. Dimitrios Ntoufexis graduated from the School of Medicine of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1999. He subsequently trained in Internal Medicine at the First Department of Propaedeutic and Internal Medicine of Laiko General Hospital in Athens (2003–2006). He then completed his specialist training in Medical Oncology at “Agios Savvas” Anticancer Hospital in Athens (2007–2010), obtaining his specialist qualification in Medical Oncology in 2010.
Areas of Interest
Dr. Dimitrios Ntoufexis specialises in Medical Oncology, with a particular clinical interest in the diagnosis and systemic treatment of genitourinary malignancies, breast cancer, lung cancer, melanoma, and sarcomas. He has extensive experience in modern, individualised cancer treatment, including chemotherapy regimens, targeted therapies, and immunotherapy, tailoring therapeutic strategies to the individual needs and clinical characteristics of each patient.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Dimitrios Ntoufexis is actively involved in the international and European scientific community, with presentations of clinical and research work at scientific conferences and publications in international medical journals. He has participated as a co-investigator in numerous clinical trials and has contributed to scientific lectures and educational activities in Greece. Since 2015, he has represented Greece within the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) in the field of Medical Oncology, participating in European scientific committees and initiatives aimed at developing and advancing standards for oncology education and clinical practice.
Current Position
Since September 2021, Dr. Dimitrios Ntoufexis has been working as an Exclusive Consultant at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised care to patients with solid tumours. He actively participates in multidisciplinary oncology teams, contributing to clinical decision-making and the implementation of contemporary, evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to the individual needs of each patient.
