Education – Academic Background

Dr. Marios Ieronymou studied Medicine in Greece and began his specialist training by completing the first part of his training at Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens. He subsequently completed the specialised part of his training at Metaxa Cancer Hospital and Hippokration General Hospital in Athens, acquiring comprehensive training in Cardiac Surgery.

His professional experience within the UK healthcare system provided him with extensive exposure to the management of complex cardiac surgery cases and the implementation of modern clinical protocols, further strengthening his scientific knowledge and surgical expertise.

Current Position

Since June 2026, Dr. Marios Ieronymou has been working as an Exclusive In-House Consultant at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where he provides specialised cardiac surgical care and contributes to the management of a wide range of cardiac conditions requiring surgical treatment, in accordance with current international standards and best practices.
