Dr. Sotiris Vasileiou began his specialist medical training in Internal Medicine at G. Gennimatas Hospital from 1995 to 1996. He subsequently trained in Nephrology at Panagia Hospital from 1997 to 1998, followed by further specialist training at AHEP University Hospital from 1998 to 2001. In 2002, he completed his compulsory rural medical service.

Dr. Sotiris Vasileiou has extensive clinical experience in Nephrology, with particular interest in:

Professional and Scientific Work
Dr. Sotiris Vasileiou has built a long-standing medical career across several public hospitals in Greece. He began his professional career in 1994 at the Hospital for Special Diseases, where he worked until 1995. He subsequently continued his specialist training at G. Gennimatas Hospital, Panagia Hospital, and AHEP University Hospital. Following his rural medical service in 2002–2003, he worked as a Specialist Nephrologist at Kilkis Hospital in 2003. From 2004 to 2016, he served as a Specialist Nephrologist at the General Hospital of Edessa. From 2016 to 2021, he served as Director of the Haemodialysis Unit at the General Hospital of Edessa, gaining extensive experience in the clinical management of dialysis patients, as well as in the organisation and operation of a specialised renal care unit.
Current Position
Since 2022, Dr. Sotiris Vasileiou has been working as a Nephrologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised nephrology services and actively contributing to the clinical care and management of patients with renal diseases, as well as to the operation and development of the hospital’s Nephrology services.
