Education – Academic Background
Dr. Ioannis Giannopoulos graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia, where he obtained his medical degree in 2013. He subsequently completed his specialist training in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at “G. Gennimatas” General Hospital of Athens, obtaining his specialist qualification in 2023. As part of his specialist training, he also trained at hospitals in the United Kingdom, gaining experience in the management of skin tumours, burns, hand injuries, and reconstructive surgical procedures.

Since June 2026, Dr. Ioannis Giannopoulos has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing specialised services in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, with a strong emphasis on patient safety, surgical precision, and individualised care.
