Education – Academic Background
Dr. Stavrina Lianou graduated from the Trakia University Faculty of Medicine in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria, in 2002. She completed her specialist training in General Practice at the 401 General Military Hospital of Athens. As part of her specialist training, she also gained clinical experience at “Aglaia Kyriakou” Children’s Hospital, “Andreas Syngros” Hospital, “Elena Venizelou” General Hospital, the Department of Psychiatry of Aiginition Hospital in Athens, and Loutraki Health Centre in Corinth.

Dr. Stavrina Lianou specialises in General Practice and Primary Healthcare, with a particular interest in preventive medicine, chronic disease management, comprehensive patient care, and the management of medical emergencies. As a Personal Doctor, she provides continuous and individualised medical care, with an emphasis on early diagnosis, patient guidance, disease prevention, and the overall promotion of health and well-being.
Research and Scientific Work
Dr. Stavrina Lianou began her medical career as a Rural Service Doctor at Kalamata General Hospital, Valyra Regional Medical Centre, and Meligalas Health Centre between 2006 and 2007. Following the completion of her specialist training, she worked at Loutraki Health Centre in Corinth. In 2015, she was appointed as a Consultant Physician at the IKA Health Unit in Corinth, where she worked for three years. In 2018, she joined the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus as an Emergency Department Physician, gaining significant experience in the rapid assessment and management of acute and emergency medical conditions.
Current Position
Since June 2019, Dr. Stavrina Lianou has been working as an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. She provides comprehensive General Practice and Primary Healthcare services, with a focus on continuity of care, disease prevention, ongoing patient monitoring, and individualised medical management.
