Education – Academic Background
Dr. Euclides Chronakis graduated from the Medical School of the University of Crete in 2004. He subsequently trained in General Surgery at the General Hospital of Heraklion and completed his specialist training in Neurosurgery at the University Hospital of Heraklion. As part of his continuing professional development, he obtained the EUROSPINE Diploma in 2022 and completed the Online Diploma in Neurotrauma Care offered by the Global Neuro Foundation. He is also pursuing postgraduate studies in Global Health – Disaster Medicine at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA). In addition, he has undertaken specialised training in Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine through EKAB Crete.

He is an author and co-author of scientific papers published in international medical journals and has also contributed to the Greek edition of the “Tactical Emergency Casualty Care – Course Manual.” He has presented scientific work at conferences focusing on Neurosurgery, Spine Surgery, and Emergency Medicine and maintains an active commitment to continuing medical education and professional development. He is a member of several national and international scientific organisations, including the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS), AO Spine, World Spinal Column Society, European Pain Federation (EFIC), and the Hellenic Society of Algology.
Current Position
Since September 2024, Dr. Euclides Chronakis has been working as a Neurosurgeon at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. With extensive experience in Neurosurgery, spine surgery, and the emergency management of neurosurgical conditions, he provides specialised services in the diagnosis, clinical assessment, follow-up, and surgical treatment of neurosurgical disorders, with a focus on comprehensive and individualised patient care.
