Education – Academic Background

Dr. Kyriakos Kakavelakis graduated from the School of Medicine of the University of Crete and completed his specialist training in Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the University Hospital of Heraklion.

He subsequently undertook advanced training in Arthroscopic Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology at specialised centres in Belgium recognised by the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA).

He also holds a Master’s Degree in Bioethics and has additional academic training in Physiotherapy and Sports and Exercise Science, providing him with a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal conditions and sports injuries.
