The Νutrition Department has developed a standard catering procedure in accordance to the clinical standards of the NHS for food, fluid and nutritional care in Hospitals as well as the food safety standards of the national board of health.
Our menu covers a wide range of medical conditions to meet the requirements of all our patients as well as the specific requirements of our maternity department. Apart from our standard menu for various medical conditions, we also offer individualized meal planning whenever necessary, coordinated by our hospital’s Nutritional scientist and Chef. This can vary from patients with multiple medical conditions in different wards to the ‘nutritionally at risk’ patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). This newly established system ensures that the nourishment of all our patients is carefully and optimally monitored. Moreover, we offer blenderized enteral tube feedings immediately available on its own premises, and of course prepared according to strict food safety standards for the medically stable patient, when nutritional needs cannot be met with commercial enteral nutrition products. Finally, it is worth mentioning that our meals are always prepared with fresh and fine quality ingredients – no ready soups, sauces or purees are used.

Our nutritional scientist MSc. troph. Stephany Piper also offers private personalized consultations for outpatients and private clients. Apart from weight management and nutrition therapy for various medical conditions, Stephany also specializes in food allergies and intolerances and gastrointestinal disorders.
