Dr. Zoe Evangelou works as a pathologist and director of the Department of Pathology at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. She is also a scientific collaborator at the European University of Cyprus, where she teaches pathology courses and laboratory sessions.

Pathology is a specialty focused on identifying, describing, diagnosing, and resolving complex medical problems, which significantly contribute to patient treatment. She consciously chose this specialty, fulfilling her initial goal of helping and healing patients.
Dr. Zoe Evangelou earned her medical degree in six years of study in 2013 from the Medical School of Ioannina. She completed her specialization in Pathological Anatomy at the Pathology Department of the University Hospital of Ioannina. During her residency, she participated as an assistant professor in the training of medical students and supervised examinations. The academic environment, along with her numerous participations in educational seminars and conferences, contributed to her strong interest in the microenvironment of carcinoma, which is an evolving field of research in pathological anatomy and oncology. This ultimately led to the pursuit and completion of her doctoral thesis on the microenvironment of breast carcinoma in young women, with a grade of “Excellent” at the University of Ioannina.
With a commitment to continuous improvement, Dr. Zoe Evangelou actively participates in and attends educational seminars and conferences, as well as engaging in clinical studies, constantly enriching her knowledge.
Dr. Zoe Evangelou is a pathologist with extensive experience in the field of Pathological Anatomy, particularly in diseases of the breast gland, and has a particular interest in bones and soft tissues.
