Dr. Kalamara Tsampika-Vasileia is a Consultant Hematologist with extensive clinical and research
experience in the field of Haematology.
She graduated with Honors (Excellent) from the School of Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine, at the
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2016. From 2017 to 2018, she served as a Rural Service
Physician at General Hospital of Florina, gaining valuable experience in primary care and emergency
medicine.
In 2018, she commenced her residency in Internal Medicine at the General Oncology Hospital of
Kifissia (2018–2019), where she developed expertise in the management of complex medical and
oncological cases. Subsequently (2020–2024), she completed her specialty training in Hematology at
major hospitals in Athens and Thessaloniki, including Sismanogleio General Hospital, Evangelismos
General Hospital, Aretaieio Hospital, Papageorgiou General Hospital, and Hippocratio General
Hospital of Thessaloniki, where she was trained across the full spectrum of benign and malignant
hematologic disorders.
In June 2024, she successfully passed the Pan-European Hematology Examination of the European
Hematology Association, and in December 2024 she was officially awarded the title of Specialist in
Hematology by the Panhellenic Medical Association.
Alongside her clinical career, she completed the Master of Science in Medical Research Methodology
(2018–2019) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with Honors. Since 2022, she has been a Scientific
Associate at the Laboratory of Physiology, Faculty of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki,
and is currently a PhD Candidate in the same department. She has received Scholarships of Excellence
supporting both her postgraduate and doctoral research.
Dr. Kalamara maintains strong scientific activity, with publications in international peer-reviewed
journals and numerous presentations at Greek and European conferences. She has been awarded
EHA Grants for the annual EHA Congress in 2023 and 2024.
As part of her continuing medical education, she is undertaking advanced training in the diagnosis and
management of thrombotic and bleeding disorders at Sorbonne University in France.
She is fluent in Greek, Eanglish, German, and French. She is a member of the Hellenic Hematology
Society, the Cypriot Hematology Society, and the European Hematology Association. She is
distinguished for her scientific consistency, organizational skills, and her commitment to delivering
high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered medical care. Since September 2025, she is a
member of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus team
