Theodosios V. Tsinas is a Radiologist and Interventional Neuroradiologist with significant experience in advanced imaging techniques and endovascular therapies.
He graduated from the Medical School of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he received comprehensive clinical and theoretical training. During his medical studies, he developed a strong interest in diagnostic imaging and minimally invasive therapeutic techniques, which shaped his subsequent professional career.
After obtaining his medical licenses in Greece and Germany, he began his specialization in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Knappschaftskrankenhaus Recklinghausen, a university hospital affiliated with Ruhr University Bochum, and subsequently continued at Philippusstift, Marienhospital Essen. He was trained across the full spectrum of diagnostic radiology, including conventional radiography, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), angiography, and interventional procedures. During residency, he actively participated in general radiology and neuroradiology on-call services.
He obtained board certification in General Radiology from the Medical Association of Nordrhein Düsseldorf and subsequently pursued structured subspecialty training in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology. He trained at specialized high-level centers in Germany, including Evangelisches Klinikum Niederrhein (affiliated with the University of Duisburg-Essen) and theDepartment of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at Klinikum Bremen Mitte in Bremen. There, he gained extensive experience in advanced neuroimaging (MRI and CT of the brain and spine) and complex therapeutical endovascular procedures of the central nervous system such as the mechanical thrombectomy in acute ischemic stroke, aneurysm embolization and embolization of arteriovenous malformations (AVM/daVf).
His clinical focus includes mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke, treatment of intracranial aneurysms, and management of vascular malformations and other complex neurovascular disorders. Since 2024, he holds the European Stroke Certification (Stroke Module E) of the German Society for Neuroradiology (DGNR). He actively participates in international congresses and neuroradiology workshops, maintaining continuous professional development in emerging technologies and therapeutic strategies.
He is a member of several international and European scientific societies, including the European Society of Radiology (ESR), the European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR), the German Society for Neuroradiology (DGNR), the German Society for Interventional Radiology and Minimally Invasive Therapy (DeGIR), and the Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE), reflecting his ongoing commitment to scientific excellence and adherence to international quality standards.
He currently serves as Director of the Department of Radiology and Interventional Neuroradiology at Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where he contributes to the development of comprehensive advanced imaging and endovascular therapy services, aiming to provide high-level, evidence-based patient care.
