Dr. Stavros Chrysostomakis was born and raised in Heraklion, Crete. He graduated from the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1988. He completed his specialization in cardiology in 1996 at the University Hospital of Heraklion in Greece, where he also completed his doctoral thesis in 2002. From 1996 to 2016, he served at the University Hospital of Heraklion, reaching the rank of Director of the NHS, specializing in the implantation of cardiac rhythm control devices (pacemakers, defibrillators, biventricular cardiac resynchronization devices) and interventional cardiology. He continued from 2016 to 2020 as Director of Cardiology Services at Mouwasat Hospital in Khobar, Saudi Arabia. In 2020, he began working at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, where he continues to serve as an interventional cardiologist with the same therapeutic areas.
