Dr. Periklis Zavridis, an Anesthesiologist and Algologist, was born and raised in Paphos. He graduated from Kykko High School in Paphos in 1995. After completing his military service, he attended the Semmelweis University of Budapest, Hungary, from where he graduated with a Medical Degree in September 2005.
He specialized in Anesthesiology in September 2012 after training in the Anesthesia Department of the General Hospital of Drama, and then at the Anesthesia Department of Hippocration General Hospital of Athens. During his specialization, he trained for three months at the St’ Pierre Hospital of Brussels.
Alongside his specialization, he obtained a Master’s Degree in Pain Management (MSc) from Leicester University, UK, and a Master’s in Pre-hospital Emergency Medicine from the National Center for Emergency Care (EKAB), Athens.
He successfully completed Continuing Education in Algology in 2016 with theoretical and practical training, organized by the Greek Society of Algology, under the auspices and approval of EFIC (European Pain Federation).
Dr. Zavridis holds a doctorate from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
He has presented many oral and poster presentations at both international and Greek conferences and has published in prestigious European journals. He has also attended many conferences as an invited speaker, particularly in the field of Chronic Pain.
He is the representative of the Cyprus Society of Anesthesiology at the European Society of Anesthesiology (ESA), a member of the European Society of Regional Anesthesia (ESRA), and vice president of the Cyprus Society of Anesthesiology’s Board of Directors. He served as a member of the Board of the Cyprus Scientific Society of Anesthesiology (KYSAN).
Since November 2012, Dr. Zavridis has been practicing anesthesiology at the American Medical Center while also maintaining a Chronic Pain Clinic there.
In May 2021, he established the first Chronic Pain Clinic in Cyprus, “Cyprus Pain Clinic,” with the vision of offering comprehensive and personalized pain management.
From 2013 to 2019, he was a scientific collaborator at St. George Medical University, based in Nicosia, and in August 2016, he was awarded the title of Clinical Assistant Professor at this University.
Since 2019, he has been a scientific collaborator and responsible for the Anesthesiology course at the European University Cyprus (EUC).
