Dr. Maria Mitselou is an Anesthesiologist born in Venezuela. After passing the entrance exams, she studied at the Medical School of the Central Western University “LISANDRO ALVARADO” and graduated with honors. In 1989, her medical degree was recognized in Athens by DIKATSA following successful exams.
In 1995, she completed her specialty in Anesthesiology at the General Hospital of Athens “LAIKO” and worked for 25 years, initially as an Attending Physician and later as Director at the General Hospital of Athens “SISMANOGLIO.” Since October 2021, she has been working at the Anesthesiology Department of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus.
Throughout these years, she has administered general and regional anesthesia in numerous cases of varying severity across all specialties, for both scheduled and emergency cases, both in and out of the operating room. She has also attended numerous conferences and seminars, and participated in training programs both as a trainee and as a trainer.
