Dr. Katerina Panagiotide was born in Aachen, Germany, and grew up in Limassol, where she graduated with honors. In 2008, after excelling in the Pan-Cyprian Entrance Exams, she was admitted to the University of Crete Medical School with a full scholarship from the Cyprus Ministry of Education. She graduated in 2015 with a grade of “Very Good.” During her academic years, she served as a Teaching Assistant in Anatomy and Musculoskeletal Studies under the Dean of the Medical School, Prof. G. Kontakis, and was a European Resuscitation Council BLS/AED instructor in Heraklion, Crete, from 2011 to 2014.
After graduating from medical school, Dr. Panagiotide worked in the Emergency Department of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus and later as a Rural General Practitioner at the Amphiklia Health Center. She also served as a medical officer at local football league games in the Phthiotis region.
Dr. Panagiotide specialized in General Surgery at the 2nd General Surgery Department of G.N.A “KAT,” while also covering on-call shifts at the Neurosurgery Department of G.N.A “KAT” for two years. She then completed her specialization in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery over the next four years at the Naval Hospital of Athens, serving as Chief Resident from 2021 until the end of her training. During this time, she gained significant surgical experience across the spectrum of ENT surgery, with a particular focus on nasal surgery. Her training also included rotations in the Neurosurgery Department of G.N.A “Gennimatas” and the Plastic Surgery Department of the Naval Hospital of Athens.
After successfully passing the exams of the Panhellenic Medical Association, earning the title of Specialist in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, she worked as an ENT Specialist at the ENT Department of the Naval Hospital of Athens and as an external associate at ORL Athens Clinics from 2021.
Dr. Panagiotide has undergone advanced training in Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS) at Evangelismos General Hospital in Athens and is certified by the Hellenic Academy of Aesthetic and Regenerative Medicine in injectable treatments using Botox, hyaluronic acid, dermal fillers, and skin rejuvenation techniques.
She is a PhD candidate at the Athens Medical School (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), focusing her dissertation on closed rhinoplasty approaches using different surgical techniques, gaining extensive experience in rhinology surgery.
Since 2023, Dr. Panagiotide has been part of the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus, providing services in the ENT outpatient clinic and performing a wide range of surgical procedures in otolaryngology. She continues to stay updated on advancements in her field by actively participating in Greek and international conferences, delivering numerous presentations, and contributing to scientific research and hands-on training programs.
