Dr. Iakovos Charalambous completed his school education, graduating from the Apostles Peter and Paul High School in Limassol with the grade “EXCELLENT” in 1999. He was admitted to the Medical School of the University of Crete through entrance exams and graduated with a medical degree in 2008.
He then completed his internship for one year at the General Hospital of Famagusta to obtain his medical license in the Republic of Cyprus. From September 2009 to December 2019, he worked in the Emergency Department of the same hospital as a contract employee.
He specialized in Anesthesiology at the University Hospital of Heraklion from 2011 to 2016, where he successfully completed exams and earned his specialty title in Anesthesiology.
Since January 2017, he has been working continuously as an anesthesiologist at the MEDITERRANEAN Hospital, covering a wide range of surgical cases.
Since March 2023, he has also held the position of Director of the Anesthesia Department at our hospital.
