Dr. Evangelia Sergi was born in Athens. She graduated from the Medical School of Thessaloniki. After completing her studies, she worked as a rural doctor at the Primary Health Care Center of Rethymno and at the Health Center of Xylokastro, in the Corinthia region. She then trained in Pathology at the Red Cross Hospital in Athens as part of her Cardiology specialty. She completed her Cardiology specialty in 2016 at the General Hospital of Athens “Elpis.” She subsequently specialized in Intensive Care Medicine at Konstantopouleio Hospital in Nea Ionia, where she worked from 2017 to 2020. She continued her training in the latest echocardiographic techniques at the Cardiology Clinic of the Red Cross Hospital, successfully completing her exams in 2021. Since June 2021, she has been working as a specialist Cardiologist at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. She is responsible for the Cardiology Unit and focuses on transesophageal echocardiography and dynamic echocardiography. She holds a master’s degree in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and certification in Echocardiography from the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI).
